The Top 50 Diverse Leaders Award distinguishes a select group of individuals from diverse fields who exhibit exceptional leadership qualities. The focus of the award is to give prominence to the accomplishments of men and women who exceed the scope of what is expected in their organizations and communities.

Caroline Winn
Caroline Winn is the chief executive officer for San Diego Gas & Electric, a role she took on in August 2020. Previously, she served as the chief operating officer, overseeing operations of gas and electric infrastructure assets and customer services. In that role, Winn has been widely recognized for her national leadership in sustainability, technology and innovation, including our significant safety and wildfire mitigation efforts.
Winn also served as our chief energy delivery officer, managing all energy delivery activities, including electric distribution operations and gas services, customer services, and external and state legislative affairs.
Jennifer Jett
Jennifer Jett is the vice president of governance and corporate secretary for Sempra Energy. In this role, she is responsible for advising the board of directors and senior management on a broad range of governance and legal matters. From 2018 to 2020, Jett served as corporate secretary for Sempra Energy. Prior to that, she was director of project finance for Sempra Energy, where she was responsible for advising Sempra’s operating companies on the structuring, documentation and execution of financing transactions.
She has also served as director of corporate governance and assistant corporate secretary for Sempra Energy, where she oversaw various governance and corporate legal functions for Sempra and its business units and served as the corporate secretary for our company, SoCalGas and Cameron LNG.
Sharon Tomkins
Sharon Tomkins is vice president of sustainability for Sempra Energy. In this role, Tomkins oversees Sempra Energy’s environmental, social and governance efforts, and corporate sustainability strategy. Previously, she served as vice president of strategy, engagement, and chief environmental officer for Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas).
In that role, Tomkins led SoCalGas’ energy policy and strategy, including the role that natural gas and its infrastructure plays in the energy transition. Prior to that, she served as SoCalGas’ general counsel and regulatory assistant general counsel.
Andy Carrasco
Andy Carrasco is vice president of communications, local government and community affairs for Southern California Gas Company. He leads the company's communications and external affairs, including engagement with media, business and nonprofit organizations and local government in more than 500 communities across Central and Southern California.
In support of SoCalGas' mission to build the cleanest, safest and most innovative energy company in America, Carrasco leads engagement across a variety of stakeholders on clean energy innovations like renewable natural gas (RNG), fuel cells, carbon capture technologies, and hydrogen that will help California reach its ambitious climate goals affordably.
Carrasco has worked in energy as an engineer and in external affairs for nearly three decades. Since joining SoCalGas in 2001 as a commercial and industrial account executive, he has been appointed to roles of increasing responsibility in the commercial and industrial services, supply management and external affairs areas.
