Fun Saturday Event: Music, Food Trucks, Electric Vehicles and More!

The parking lot of Northgate Market in southeastern San Diego is the place to be tomorrow, if you are interested in learning about electric vehicles (EV), how to charge them (yes, there are different levels of charging), what it’s like to drive one, and what incentives exist to buy one.

Bring the whole family to this free community event, which will offer EV test drives, as well as music entertainment, children’s activities, food trucks and more.

In an effort to provide the area with more access to EV charging, local nonprofit organization Groundwork San Diego collaborated with EVgo Network to install a public fast-charging station at the Northgate Market.

SDG&E’s Clean Transportation Team will be there

Be sure to stop by the SDG&E booth if you are interested in learning about what our company is doing to support clean transportation. We have launched a host of initiatives, including programs to expand EV charging infrastructure and special electricity pricing plans for EV drivers.

With rising gas prices, now is the time to explore EVs. Driving a plug-in EV and enrolling in an EV pricing plan can help you save money. Our team will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Want to talk to people who have already made the switch driving electric? Members of the Electric Vehicle Association of San Diego will be there to chat with people about their personal experience driving various makes and models.

The Center for Sustainable Energy, which administers California’s incentive program for buying EVs (officially known as the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project), will also have an information booth.
