Temperatures are expected to continue to climb this week, with the hottest conditions expected Friday and Saturday. While minor relief from the heat is expected Sunday, temperatures will remain above normal into early next week.
In the coming days, peak highs are forecast to be near 80 degrees at the coast, 90-100 from the valleys to the mountains, and 110-115 in the deserts.
So what can you do to cool off and have fun when your home becomes an oven?
The good news is our region has a fantastic Movies in the Park program that runs throughout the summer. We are a sponsor of this program. In addition to Movies in the Park, many communities offer free concerts throughout the summer. We have compiled a list of upcoming events to help you beat the heat in free and fun ways.
Movies in the Park on Friday, July 12
If there is a star * next to the event, it means that we will have a customer outreach team and information table set up at the movie location to answer questions about SDG&E programs and services and provide energy- and money-saving tips.
