SDG&E and Sempra Named to Top Workplaces List for Second Year

SDG&E and Sempra have been named to the San Diego Union-Tribune’s Top Workplaces list for the second consecutive year. The ranking, which recognizes stand-out employers in San Diego County, is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey. This year, Sempra and SDG&E received special acknowledgment for our holistic wellness and benefits programs.

“When thinking about what makes SDG&E a great place to work, it comes down to our employees and our culture,” said Kendall Helm, Vice President of People and Culture at SDG&E. “I am privileged to work with a talented group of colleagues who bring innovative ideas to the table, consistently display their dedication to our community, and work to make our company stronger every day.”

At SDG&E, our teams are committed to building a better future for our region through our efforts in safety, sustainability, and investing in our community. SDG&E is consistently recognized for those efforts, particularly in the areas of reliability, innovation, and community impact.

We have built a stronger and more innovative business by bringing together people with different perspectives, diverse backgrounds and unique skillsets. To see testimonials from SDG&E employees about why they love working at the company, visit sdge.com/careers.

About the Top Workplaces Recognition

The Top Workplaces recognition is based on employee feedback from a survey administered by employee engagement technology company Energage, LLC. This is the second year that Sempra/SDG&E have participated in the Top Workplaces survey and were listed under the Large Companies category.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

The survey measures 15 culture drivers that Energage recognizes as critical to the success of any organization, including: alignment, execution, and connection, among others.
