SDG&E and the Padres teamed up for a fourth season in a row by Going to Bat for several San Diego organizations dedicated to keeping our communities safe.
This year the Padres Foundation and SDG&E presented three $10-thousand-dollar checks to the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation, the San Diego Fire Fighters Relief Association, and the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County.
SDG&E’s Chief Operating Office, Kevin Geraghty was joined on the field by Padres Senior Vice President of Community and Military Affairs, Tom Seidler to present the checks to the deserving organizations that help build a stronger, more prepared and more resilient San Diego.
“We are pleased to honor the outstanding Fire Fighters of Escondido Fire, Oceanside Fire, Parkland Fire, Valley Center Fire, and San Diego Fire Rescue that serve our communities in and around San Diego County, said Geraghty. “We truly appreciate their bravery and the sacrifices that they make on our behalf every single day.”
The organizations were honored on the field in the pre-game ceremony as video of SDG&E’s SkyMaverick was displayed on the Jumbotron prior to the Padres home run and 3-to-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday, June 21st.
