WHAT: San Diego Gas & Electric’s (SDG&E) wildfire mitigation partners, approximately 220 goats, will be transiting to a new grazing area within SDG&E-owned transmission corridor property in Chula Vista. The animals and handlers will cross between grazing areas, garnering community spectators from the local neighborhood. These hardworking goats play a crucial role in creating fire breaks around electric infrastructure by safely and efficiently clearing vegetation that could potentially fuel wildfires.
