Take your EV to the Park in Celebration of Clean Air Month!

May is National Clean Air Month and SDG&E is helping the City of San Marcos support residents in taking local action to reduce tailpipe emissions and improve air quality by driving electric vehicles (EVs). New EV chargers were recently installed at Sunset Park through SDG&E’s Power your Drive for Schools, Parks, and Beaches. The program was designed to expand EV charging infrastructure and encourage EV adoption by providing convenient charge point access in places frequently visited. EVs are an important part of our region’s climate solutions as they help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in addition to decreasing air pollution. Learn more about how EVs will help the City of San Marcos deliver on its climate action plan with Mayor Rebecca Jones, Council Member Ed Musgrove and SDG&E Clean Transportation Customer Engagement Project Manager Corey Permann, as they show off some of the newest chargers in our ever-expanding community network.
