A crack of the bat in downtown San Diego means one thing – baseball season is back! Today marks Opening Day for the San Diego Padres, who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary season. It also marks the fourth season that the San Diego Padres and SDG&E are partnering up on Going to Bat for San Diego!
Going to Bat for San Diego is a season-long effort that brings the San Diego Padres and SDG&E together to support more than a dozen nonprofit organizations focused on safety and environmental stewardship. Throughout the season, SDG&E will donate close to half a million dollars to organizations that work to improve San Diego’s environment and keep our communities safe.
This year’s Going to Bat for San Diego starting line-up will be announced on April 15, and the first on-field experience will be in celebration of Earth Month, on April 18. Stay tuned to all the Going to Bat San Diego activities by following along all season using #GTB4SD on social media. We hope to see you there!
Let’s go Padres!
