What is a Community Resource Center?

If adverse weather conditions impact our region and a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) is called, SDG&E may open up Community Resource Centers (CRC) to support customers that are experiencing an outage.

Community Resource Centers are pre-designated facilities located in communities that may be affected by PSPS events. These CRCs will be activated in the event of an extended power outage.

Providing your basic needs

CRCs will offer impacted residents the following:

  • Water
  • Snacks
  • Ice
  • Wi-Fi connection
  • Charging stations for your medical devices
  • Charging stations for phones
  • Car power-inverter
  • Small solar-powered batteries and radios
  • Water trucks for livestock (residents will need to bring their own containers for transporting water)
  • Up-to-date information on outages

Locations

There are eleven pre-designated Community Resource Centers. Locations and addresses can be found on our website

Please Note: Not all CRCs will be opened during a PSPS. During an active PSPS event, visit sdge.com/PSPS to find the most up-to-date list of open Community Resource Centers.
